Jennifer Hale remembered in Great North Run

MEMBERS of ‘Team Jen’ completed the Great North Run last month in memory of Jennifer Hale, who lost her battle with Breast Cancer in 2009 at the age of just 53.

Jen’s husband Trevor and two daughters Lydia and Sophie have actively been raising money for Jen’s three chosen charities – Macmillan Cancer Support, Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and Breast Cancer Care – and since Jen passed away they have already raised over £7,900.

As well as the Great North Run, Team Jen have also organised a Pink Charity Ball at Wrightington Country Club, Macmillan Coffee Mornings, and have also ran in a variety of 10k races including the Great Manchester 10k and the Parbold Hill Race.

The Great North Run challenge was completed by seven member of Team Jen: Lydia Hale, Tim Hvaal, Jackie Grimshaw, Gemma Heaton, Jay Ellerton, Lenna Abulhawa and John Heaton, who ran this event specifically for Macmillan Cancer Support.
