EVERY local primary school in Skelemersdale was invited by the Skelmersdale Sports Partnership to enter a team into a competition.
The competition was held one evening after school at Our Lady Queen of Peace High School. St James' remained undefeated on the night; the school’s team topped their qualifying group by winning all three matches.
They went through to the next round of matches, playing the top teams from the other groups. Winning the next three games, they beat Holland Moor.
Headteacher, Mr Dave Iliff, said: “The competition was very competitive indeed. The children from St James' never gave up. They really enjoyed themselves taking part in such a very fast sport.”
