SKELMERSDALE, Ormskirk and Upholland community showed their support for Skem Men Aces on their return from the Special Olympics.
Aboard an open top bus the Men-aces recently returned back from the Olympics with a Silver medal.
All the lads were all in exuberant spirits waving their red and black flags and scarves and holding aloft an array of silverware that they have succeeded a count of 22 trophies and awards in just under four years.
They decided to do the bus tour in order to thank hundreds and hundreds of people that have shown their support in getting them to the Olympics, the lads were so excited about the whole day which they didn't know anything about until the night before.
They were also excited that they had a police escort with the added bonus of the police blues and twos. The police were magnificent and spent time with the lads after the tour for photos and the banter was plentiful.
But the surprises didn't end there.
The bus was parked at Skelmersdale Asda for a reason and that was because Asda had invited the whole team in for lavish buffet.
This was a wonderful gesture to finish off a truly momentous experience that will stay with the lads for a long time to come. Asda have been tremendous help and need applauding for all their understanding and support.
