ORMSKIRK WEST END relinquished top spot in the table when they were held to an enthralling 4-4 home draw by Ormskirk F.C.
The away side took an early lead after a goalkeeping error from Ste Bolton and before half time the visitors had doubled their tally when Joe Lee headed in a corner to make it 0-2.
After the break, West End rose from their slumber and got themselves back in the game when a neat flick from beanpole midfielder Jay Baker found the bottom corner.
The revival was short lived as Lee netted again for Ormskirk.
West End refused to give in though and Eddie Carney volleyed home to reduce the deficit midway through the second period.
Minutes later it was 3-3 when West End player manager Lee Brooks capitalised on a defensive error.
The home team were now searching for a winner, but were hit with a sucker punch when the visitors beat the offside trap to steal a goal.
A 4-3 defeat looked certain for West End, however straight from kick off veteran winger Harry McGill rolled back the years by dribbling past three defenders and delivering a wicked cross for West End top scorer Brooks to once more poach a goal.
