SKEM United striker John Cass has been invited over to League of Ireland Premier Division side Sligo Rovers for pre-season training.
Sligo are managed by Liverpool-born Paul Cook.
Making his debut with Marine, Cook had a lengthy career in England including spells at Burnley, Wolves, Coventry City, Wigan Athletic and Tranmere Rovers before finishing off in the 2005-06 season helping Accrington Stanley to promotion to the Football League.
He also managed Southport between June 2006 and January 2007. Cook has been in charge at the Irish club since April 2007.
Skem boss Tommy Lawson said: “We are delighted for John that he’s been given a chance to train at Sligo.
“It shows that Skem are attracting scouts and with all the recent player movements we are producing some fine young players here.”
Elsewhere, a delighted Lawson paid tribute to his players and supporters as the club finally kicked-off 2010 with a fine derby win over Prescot Cables.
