Bev and Cynthia win last cup of ladies’ bowls season

BOWLERS battled for glory under the roar of Air Show aeroplanes in the last ladies’ league competition of the season.

Bev Summer and Cynthia Martin claimed victory in the MacDonald (Fish & Chip) Trophy at Fleetwood Hesketh Bowling Club.

The golden pair defeated Pauline Miley and Lisa Smith in the final after an excellent and very competitive tournament.

The Consolation Competition was won by Glen Lewis and Margaret Langley of Fleetwood Hesketh BC.

THE next meeting of the Bowling Committee and delegates is scheduled to be held on Monday, October 1, commencing at 7.30pm at Banks St Stephen’s Club.
