THE Scarisbrick Saracens finished the season off in fine style with a good win against the Burscough Warriors to confirm themselves as the 2012 West Lancashire & Sefton Junior Bowls League winners.
They took all four of the singles games, brothers Alistair and Kes Adams both winning 21-8.
Star of the show for Burscough was young Alicia Gregson in the pairs, who produced some fine shots when partnering her brother Liam – sadly for the siblings, however, they lost to Jamie Sumner and Matty Jones 21-16.
Callum Green and Kes Adams also picked up the final pairs game for the Saracens despite some accurate firing from Owen Dickinson.
The Saracens were delighted to receive the trophy at the end of the match, in a season which they dominated from start to finish – winning every match apart from one, which was drawn.
This has been a very successful season for the Junior Bowls League which has seen more teams joining and a great camaraderie amongst the young players.
ANY clubs in the West Lancashire and Sefton area who might be interested in joining the league should contact Ian Gill on 01695-575141 for details.
