Division One Eden Vale 4-3 Melling Victoria

VALE started well with goals from Sean Coulton and John Hastings.

Things quickly changed though as a perfect hat-trick by Lee Carroll put the visitors in front.

But Vale hit back with an equaliser from Kevin McDonald followed by Jack Grey’s winner, writes Martin Thompson.

Kestrels 4-0 Gemini

ONLY a Paul Welsh goal separated these two at the break as both goalkeepers impressed.

Stancombe and Vernon battled for an equaliser but to no avail.

Kestrels scored three more from Peter Short, Ben Sumner and Joey Davies.

Standpark 4-4 Kirkby RAFA

A TOP of the table clash ended even in this thriller.

It was RAFA who started on fire with goals from Ramon McHugh and Craig McCarthy giving them a lead at the break.

Things changed rapidly in the second period though with a Paul Langley brace evening up the game. Paul Healey and Andy Kildare then struck for RAFA, while Alan Hermerson and Andrew Koo found the target for Standpark.

THE McPort outfit continued their impressive run thanks to a Steven Malloy brace followed by strikes from Brian McElroy and Dave Coggins – with a consolation from Brendon Southern for Ambrose.

Bar Du Fay 4-1 Georges

WITH both teams out of the competition, only pride was at stake. By half-time a Joe Laughlin strike followed by a cracker from Chris Winsor separated the teams.

Pushed on by the impressive Liam Spofforth, the Bar went further ahead with goals from James Selkirk and Connor Christiansen before a late consolation from Jack Ledsham.

Lanes End 1-5 Fantail

FANTAIL’S Mike Hill, Barry Took and Kevin Pollard secured a first-half lead before a second-half brace from Dean Jameson. Declan Gregson scored for Lanes End.

Rainford 4-8 Windy Bar

SCOTT GEORGE nabbed a brace while John Williams and Maurice Cochrane were also on target for Rainford. Windy’s goals came from Brian Gale with a hat-trick, Terry Kildare and braces for Jimmy Millar and Willie Bean.

Wynstay 4-2 Pivilion

WYNSTAY found Pivilion a handful in this tie. It was all even at the break with goals for Andy Pemberton and Liam Vogel for Wynstay and replies from Gary McDonald and Simon King. Ritchie Lange grabbed a second-half brace to secure the win.
