GOALKEEPERS had another busy Sunday in the Ormskirk & District Sunday League as spectators were treated to a feast of goals across the three divisions.
An incredible 45 goals were scored in just 10 matches as strikers heaped misery on defences throughout the region.
Only Premier Division outfits Kestrels Windmill and Mariners were able to keep out the opposition for the full 90 minutes.
Kestrels Windmill began their campaign with a 2-0 win over Eden Vale Seniors while reigning double champions Mariners won 1-0 at Salisbury.
NAC made it two wins from two with a 3-1 victory over Melling Victoria.
In Division One, Stand Park produced an impressive performance with an emphatic 8-2 win over MCA. Bar Du Fay picked up a point at Wynstay with a 2-2 draw as they started their season and Pivilion Athletic drew 2-2 in their match at home to McPort United.
In Division Two Platinum Menswear continued their good start to the 2012-13 campaign with a 2-1 win at Database.
Lanes End Athletic edged out Georges 4-3 in a seven goal thriller while Ambrose Ellis picked up their first win of the season with a 3-2 victory at Left Bank FC.
Finally, Printworks suffered a 4-1 defeat at Sacred Heart to leave them at the foot of the table having lost two in two and with a goal difference of minus 14.
