DUE to disciplinary issues involving their opposition, Bickerstaffe Res were left watching an enthralling local derby between their first team and Newburgh at Hall Lane.
The match involved a disputed penalty decision going Newburgh’s way, and a sending off of a Bickerstaffe player.
Newburgh took the lead, only for Cocks to pull one back, with Newburgh going back in front with a disputed penalty.
In the second half Bickerstaffe found themselves down to 10 men with Hughes given a straight red.
Bickerstaffe equalized with 15 minutes left,with Wisset tapping in a simple chance for 2-2.
Newburgh, though, grabbed the winner late on.
