Toby 4 Duck Athletic 1
TOBY were much the better of these two sides in the opening period taking full advantage of their dominance with goals from Andy Jones on five minutes and Ashley Rimmer after seven.
In a very lively opening, James Fogg pulled one goal back for Duck in the 11th minute.
Toby’s first-half dominance was further asserted when Ben Maddocks made it 3-1 after 23 minutes with Ash Rimmer grabbing his second a minute later to round off the scoring.
The second period was much more of an even contest but all the goal scoring exploits had been seen in the opening half.
Elm House 2 Highwayman 5
THIS match started at a frenetic pace with the opening goal from Ben Barnes inside the first minute.
There then ensued a half-hour lull until Ste Taylor stepped in to make it 2-0 to Highwayman with Dave Brown adding a third in the 35th minute before Taylor added his second three minutes later.
D Wrathall pulled a goal back for Elm House just before the break.
The second-half saw numerous chances go begging until the final 10 minutes when Ste Riley made it five for Highwayman on 80 minutes with Wrathall netting his second for Elm House two minutes later.
Tanner 0 Railway Tavern 4
A VERY entertaining game played in the right spirit without losing its competitive edge.
Adam Storey stole all the plaudits with a man-of-the-match display and all four goals.
He netted the first after just three minutes before adding efforts on 48, 79 and 87 minutes.
