Ormskirk West End beat the pitch - and Birkdale

ALTHOUGH they had most of the possession it was 20 minutes before West End managed to break the deadlock when Matt Peterson chipped in from 25 yards.

Birkdale stood strong with keeper Nick Knight and centre- half Steve Howard outstanding.

Ormskirk remained in control in the second-half, with captain Sean Weston dominant at the heart of their defence and Matt Hilton controlling the midfield.

The second goal came from Dom Whelan and the third from Peterson.
