THE old cliché a game of two halves certainly describes this match when after five minutes Skem went behind.

It seemed their trip to Birkdale wasn’t to be a happy affair until four minutes into the second-half when Sarah Wroblewski equalised giving Skem the momentum they needed to mount endless attacks on the Birkdale goal.

Capitalising on their possession, Grace Vella let fly with a fantastic strike and goal to put Skem firmly back in the driving seat. Grace added another four minutes later.

The points were secured when Laura Butler turned in the box and slotted home Skem’s fourth.
