Town Green0
TOWN Green had early advantage in the John Disley Cup final but on 15 minutes Jamie Charnock's persistence gained him a goal.
Connor Tierney's pace was causing West End problems and a great save from Liam Maher prevented a certain equaliser.
As the half progressed, Ormskirk started to find their feet and really started to tighten the screw.
After the interval Matty Hilton, Callum Davis and Tom Bunclark got hold of the midfield area and chance after chance was created by Matt Peterson, Jamie Treanor and Will Tabern but they found Town's keeper Anthony Caunce in inspirational form.
Town Green threw everything forward in the last couple of minutes but found Ormskirk's back four of Dom Whelan, Alex Gillespie, Sean Weston and Charles Coldrick impregnable.
MoM was Will Tabern for an excellent display.
