Dynamo Rangers played an entertaining game against Hindley Town Girls

THE match between Dynamo Rangers and Hindley in the West Lancashire Girls League was billed as game of the season.

It got off to an electric start with both teams battling for a place in a final, both sides running for every ball.

Dynamo keeper Lydia made some amazing saves, with end-to-end football and some great passing from Sammy Shanice and Megan making chances, only to be denied by Hindley’s defence.

Dynamo opened the scoring with a great shot from Jade. Before half time Dynamo’s keeper was injured making a save of the season.

Carirna stepped up to be keeper.

The second half started with Hindley battling away but some fine play from Faye, Rachael and Sophie was denied what looked like a win for Dynamo.

Hindley broke through and brought the scores level, plenty of play in the middle from Faye Langdon and Amy who were working like Trojans.

In extra time, both teams went head to head again. Megan, Sammy and Shanice were all denied seeing their names on the score sheet.

Three minutes to go before penalties, Dynamo got a corner, Sammy stepped up and what a great cross to Jade who slotted home to give Dynamo Rangers.

The girls would like to thank their manager Pam Ashton for all her hard work and bests of luck to the girls in winning their league division and reaching a cup final.

Player of the match was Rachael Brown.
